For many disabled people bewildered by new technology, digital exclusion is a major barrier. Yet basic computer skills can help to save money, access new services, and make new friends.
Compaid provides digital skills training and related computer-based activities throughout Kent and Medway. Our unique approach improves quality of life, learning readiness and digital participation for disabled and elderly people, and helps to address barriers to learning to get the best results.
Our trainers can help learners get online to pay bills, stay in touch, use social media and Microsoft Office packages, as well guidance for those moving back into work, wanting to learn about digital design, photography and internet safety. We also offer training on a number of third party platforms including accredited IT qualifications in partnership with local Further Education colleges.
Compaid’s training support can be delivered from our own dedicated centre in Paddock Wood, or into the wider community through our team of Outreach trainers.
