We are so thrilled to celebrate the inspiring efforts of one of our digital skills clients, Lydia, who, to date, has raised over £245 for Compaid with a sponsored swim!
Lydia’s Inspiring Achivement
We are so thrilled to celebrate the incredible efforts of one of our clients, Lydia, who has shown what determination, community spirit, and a big heart can achieve. Lydia recently decided to do a sponsored swim in support of Compaid. In the weeks leading up to the event, she rallied support from her family, friends, and other clients who all cheered her on.
When the big day arrived, and being cheered on by her friends and family, Lydia swam 25 lengths of Tonbridge Swimming Pool and to date, has raised over £245 for Compaid!
Her dedication to both her personal growth and giving back to others is truly inspiring. As someone who has worked hard to build her digital skills with us, Lydia decided to push herself even further by setting a goal that would benefit others in the community.
With each length completed through the water, she pushed her limits and demonstrated the remarkable impact one person’s determination can have.
Lydia said, “It was great! I wanted to swim more laps, but other people needed to use the pool. I’m happy with how it all went.”
Lydia decided that the funds she raised will go directly to improving the equipment in our Digital Skills Training Centre in Paddock Wood, which she and other clients use to develop their skills, learn to use the internet safely, and gain access to inclusive learning opportunities.
