We’re looking for a new Trustee, specialising in HR &
Safeguarding, to join our Board of Trustees.
For 40 years, Compaid has been dedicated to supporting thousands of
older, disabled, and vulnerable people throughout Kent to connect, learn, and
live more independently. Through digital skills training, accessible transport and
community outreach, we support people who may be at increased risk, which makes
safeguarding central to everything we do.
We are proud of our culture and the dedication of our staff and volunteers. As we continue
to strengthen and develop our services, we want to ensure our safeguarding systems,
oversight and culture remain robust, proportionate and rooted in best practice.
We are looking for ambitious and dedicated people to join our Board of Trustees and
support our teams in this essential and transformative area.
Your Role
As a Trustee, you will play an important part in offering constructive support and challenge,
helping the Board ensure that everyone who engages with Compaid feels safe, respected
and protected.
We are particularly interested in people with expertise in:
- Safeguarding policy, systems and culture
- Providing Board-level oversight of safeguarding risks, incident reporting and
organisational learning. - Supporting a strong, open and learning-focused safeguarding culture rooted in
transparency and continuous improvement
