New vehicles join the Compaid fleet

Three new minibuses have joined Compaid’s accessible transport fleet, thanks to grants from the Band Trust and the Wolfson Foundation.

The vehicles, converted Peugeot Boxer vans that can take up to 10 passengers, with space for two wheelchair users, were delivered at the start of October by specialist minibus conversion company Minibus Options.

Each vehicle has been dedicated to the memory of former Compaid service users who have passed away. Ronnie, Jeannette and Graham are already clocking up the miles helping disabled and older passengers get out and about in the local community.

The buses were kindly funded by the Band Trust and the Wolfson Foundation as part of Compaid’s vehicle replacement programme, and they take the place of eight year old vehicles which had each covered over 130,000 miles.
