Compaid expands digital skills training into Medway

Compaid’s digital skills training service is now available to disabled jobseekers in Medway, thanks to a partnership with Chatham JobCentre Plus.

Disabled claimants on Employment Support Allowance or Job Seekers Allowance will be able to attend up to 8 support sessions, learning basic digital skills such as using email, managing finances and applying for jobs. The training is being delivered four days a week from community centres in Gillingham and Luton.

The training in Medway is an expansion of a successful existing partnership between Compaid and JobCentre Plus offices in Thanet and West Kent. More than 80 disabled jobseekers have been supported over the past 15 months, with more than 10% moving into employment or volunteering opportunities.
