Compaid commended by Kent Police

Compaid has received a certificate from the Chief Constable of Kent Police in recognition of the charity’s support to trainee Police Officers in the county.

More than 30 trainee Police Officers have so far attended a two day disability awareness induction at Compaid, spending a day with disabled adults at our digital skills training centre, and another day supporting disabled and older people using our community transport services. Trainees gain valuable insight into the issues facing disabled and other vulnerable people in the community.

The Chief Constable’s certificate is awarded to organisations that play a significant part in helping the police to meet their community outcomes. Compaid is proud that this valuable association will continue throughout 2019.
