Compaid becomes accredited Living Wage employer
Compaid is celebrating its accreditation as a Living Wage employer by the Living Wage Foundation. This marks a commitment by the charity to pay staff an hourly rate no lower than the Living Wage Foundation’s recommended pay for out of London employees. That rate is currently £9.50 an hour, almost 7% higher than the Government’s National Living Wage.
This step most benefits the charity’s front line staff delivering digital skills training and transport services to disabled, older and other vulnerable people across Kent. These staff members have continued to support service users throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, and have demonstrated commitment and compassion towards those they serve.
