We know that Compaid is improving lives every day. We are reducing loneliness and isolation, improving health and wellbeing, and helping all of those who use our services to realise their potential. Day in, day out, our staff and volunteer are meeting urgent needs, and we need to ensure that funds are available to pay for these vital services.

To help us to meet the needs of over 1,800 adults and children each year, we currently need to raise around £150,000 of voluntary income. If 100 people set up a regular monthly donation of £10, that would raise £15,000 in 12 months, including Gift Aid paid to us by the Inland Revenue. This would represent 10% of the total we need to raise.

Over a year, £10 a month could pay for one of our Trainers to deliver six computer support sessions, or £20 a month could pay for fuel for one of our accessible minibuses for four weeks.

The easiest way to set up a regular donation is with a Standing Order to your bank. If you use online banking you should be able to do this from your computer, but if not, your local branch can help. You specify how much you want to donate, and how often you want to make the donation. What’s more, you can amend or cancel a standing order at any time.

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can also complete a Gift Aid declaration which means the Inland Revenue will pay Compaid the tax you had already paid on the value of your donation, which normally works out at 25% (so a £10 donation becomes £12.50).
