By changing your will to leave a gift to us, you will help us to support disabled people in fulfilling their ambitions for many years to come.
If you wish to leave a gift (usually called a legacy) you will need to provide your solicitor with the following information:
Name of Charity: Compaid Trust
Registered Charity Number: 1064160
Address of Charity: Unit 1 Eastlands, Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood, Kent TN12 6BU
There are two main types of legacy you might leave us in your will. They are:
Residuary legacy – this is a gift of the remainder of your estate after all other gifts have been made and debts cleared.
Pecuniary legacy – this is a gift of a fixed sum of money in your will. The value of a pecuniary legacy can change over time due to inflation.
If you have an existing will, you can add a short legal document, called a codicil, to record your wish to leave a gift to Compaid. We have prepared a simple template, which can be downloaded here, that you can print off, complete and have independently witnessed. This document should then be stored in the same place as your will.
We hope that you will consider leaving a legacy to us as a fitting testament of your support for our work.
