Our strategy
Throughout its 25 year history, Compaid has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of disabled people. This responsiveness is key to our strategic plans for the future.
Compaid currently supports more than 1,000 disabled people a year, and we must ensure that our services continue to be delivered to a high standard and deliver clear benefits and longer term impact for the clients who receive them.
At the same time, there are an estimated 40,000 disabled adults in Kent, and tens of thousands more in the surrounding counties. We are already working with other charities to offer a wider range of services to larger numbers of disabled people, and Compaid is actively pursuing further strategic partnerships that will help us to grow and support even more individuals in the future.
This future growth will come with a considerable cost, both in terms of people and finances. That is why we are committed to improving the benefits, training and support on offer to all Compaid staff and volunteers, and to diversifying our income through developing new fundraising events, corporate partnerships and opportunities for clients to showcase and sell their artwork.
Above all, Compaid must do much more to promote the abilities of the disabled people we work with, and to illustrate the value of the services we provide. Through this greater awareness of our work with disabled people, we can gain more clients, staff and volunteer and funds to support our future development.
